Arboricultural reports to help with planning applications

OMC Associates can produce a variety of reports to address specific planning requirements. This can either be a request for more information to accompany a planning application or discharge of a condition attached to a planning consent.

 

Local Planning Authorities (LPAs) have a duty to protect good and third party trees and proposed developments must demonstrate that the scheme will not adversely impact on these trees. It should be noted that all householder planning applications must state if there are trees 'within falling distance', and failure to do so will delay or invalidate an application.

 

Because of many years of experience working within LPAs and the establishment of a good reputation with many LPAs, OMC reports are well regarded and consequently facilitate planning applications.

In addition to report writing:

• We can liaise with planners and other development professionals to carry out site inspections to ensure compliance with the agreed details (thus avoiding potential Breach of Condition or Stop Notices).
  
• OMC Associates provides an air spade service to assist with excavation near roots that may be specified or conditioned with a planning consent and is one of the few companies that can install “no dig surfaces” with arboricultural expertise, as often specified.
  
• Tree Preservation Order (TPO) applications and objections and Conservation Area Notices and appeals to decisions.
