BS 5837 Tree Survey Reports and Tree Survey Plans

This will identify all trees adjacent the proposed works, provide dimensions, species and quality categorizations as determined in the British Standard BS 5837:2012 – Trees in relation to construction – Recommendations. These quality categorizations are important since this will determine whether trees are a material planning consideration. The tree need not be within falling distance of the proposed structures(s) but adjacent any part of the land that will be affected say by new roads and paths or underground utilities and general building activity so may cover a larger area than you think necessary. The report and plan will also show the root protection areas of a tree based on the survey results and we can use this data to generate tree constraints plans to assist with design layout.
“I followed up with Chris Overbeke. He was very helpful and professional. He arranged to go and see the tree in question in good time and his report was with us very soon afterwards. His report was clear, detailed and easy to understand. I was very happy with the service he provided.”
